Title: A Mother’s Love
This painting is full of deep emotion and raw energy. From the delicate aquas and yellows, the intricate line work, the instinctive motions of the mother sea creatures intently watching over their young, this artwork portrays the protective, passionate and sacrificial love of mothers. A man heads out into the open ocean with his traditional canoe and harpoon to hunt for food for his family. However, as he embarks on his endeavour, a fist-like wave comes and threatens his mission. Even so, this threat is overcome through the protective and passionate love of a mother defending her children.
